FAMILIA! So much to say! Don’t even know where to start! How about the cooking class, also known as the very first episode ever of The Marcela and Carina Show! So, in a nutshell, my sister Carina and myself will be teaming up to cook and talk about pretty much anything that comes to mind, cooking related or not! The plan is to bring you the Mexican foods we grew up with along with the conversations and truths about life, our relationship, tortillas and anything that feels organic, not over-produced or in any way, shape or form attempting to be PERFECT. We’re all kinda sick of fake and perfect. I know I am. So, here’s us. Cooking. Talking. Maybe crying. Maybe laughing hysterically but, I swear on my tortilla press, nobody on this show will ever pretend to be something they are not. Not anymore. :o)

On Tuesday, October 27th at 6pm (PST!) we will go live from my home in Chula Vista for approximately one hour. We will walk you through the cooking and setup of an incredibly easy but really beautiful Chilaquiles Bar. We will also make some fresh tortilla quesadillas with squash blossoms and roasted corn. All of this will take place in my living room with this year’s Día de Muertos Altar for my mom set up behind us. We will also explain that tradition and how to make your own altar at home and how to make those marigold flower garlands!

AND BECAUSE WE LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH, my new partners at THIS IS LATIN AMERICA and I have created 9 beautiful GIVEAWAY packages with the most exquisite, hand-made, artisanal pieces from MEXICO! The winners will be announced at 7pm, around the end of the Instagram LIVE! If you are announced as a winner AND are viewing the LIVE, maybe you can join us on the LIVE. Chances to enter end on 10/27 at 3pm (PST). Instructions to enter are HERE.
