Marcela’s family is known for putting together great parties... but these aren't just regular parties. This party planned by Marcela took themed parties to new levels. You're about to be inspired - I know that I sure was!

I bring you Casa Marcela, Baja edition! For David’s baptism Marcela wanted to recreate what felt like the seaside town of Ensenada in her own back yard. For those of you that don’t know Ensenada is just a short, scenic drive from the border and absolutely famous for seafood, mostly known for being the home of the original fish taco! Marcela was on a mission to bring that same coastal vibe to her own home and it was one big success.

To recreate this amazing vibe, Marcela used a palette of blues, whites, and natural colors, and of course, just as in Baja, the food was absolutely to-die-for! Want the recipes? Pick up a copy of Casa Marcela: Recipes and Food Stories of My Life in the Californias. I promise that the Grilled Shrimp Burritos and Octopus Ceviche will either make you reminisce about Baja or else have you adding it to your wishlist for your next vacation!
